A study by Grant Thorton, a global accounting firm, found companies with at least one female executive board member perform better than those with male – only boards. Women play a major role in enabling better decision making of companies, creating sustainable organizations and increasing company philanthropic contributions.
PTL supports the growth of women in business. Women contribute much to the economy. The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) 2016, global MSME financial gap analysis indicates that women entrepreneurs make up 32.2% of SME’s. Though they face numerous challenges like access to markets. We buy quality items especially hospital linen made by women and distribute them on their behalf.We also mentor and have building capacity sessions with them. PTL gives internship and employment opportunities to the youth hence reducing unemployment in the society. PTL conducts institution assessment and advises stakeholders on viable requirements. This helps the institutions to be abreast with latest technology in healthcare. In line with the millennium goal of reducing child and mother motality rates we ensure we deliver quality equipment to the health centres.
